Delicious, Healthy Food
Our ethos of low impact on the planet and high quality is especially
evident in our approach to food throughout the holidays. We encourage
guests not to use Supermarkets where much of the food comes packaged in
non biodegradable materials and has been transported long distances by
air, sea and road. These deliveries can generate high carbon emissions
and often support high profits for for western businesses taking advantage
of low wages in third world countries.
We arrange a welcome pack on arrival of Fairtrade tea and coffee, Isle
of Wight milk and butter, local honey and bread, the very best local dry
cured bacon and eggs. Breakfast is available daily as an optional extra
with delicious fresh baked breads, croissants and rolls, with local eggs
and bacon, freshly brewed Fairtrade tea and coffee, and local jams and
honey.
In addition to the produce available from the farm shop on site excellent
