The Staples Holiday Cottage
There are 3 comfortable bedrooms, one single, one twin with bunk beds and a small pull out single bed, and a master bedroom with four poster bed. There is a family bathroom with bath, and a downstairs shower room with toilet.
Downstairs, the elegant lounge has a double sofa bed, TV, DVD and CD player. There is a well equipped country kitchen-dining room with Aga, fridge, microwave etc. There is a small parlour with chair and books and an outside utility room with freezer and washing machine. The lovely garden has a private patio eating area with barbeque, a lawned area with swing and a gravel drive with off road parking for 2 cars
The Staples is in a delightful position, being only a 5 minute walk from beautiful Freshwater Bay which has sand and shingle, a reef for snorkelling, caves and rockpools. The breathtaking Tennyson Down which is only a 45 minute walk to the Needles is only across the road, and the outstanding Afton Marshes and the river Yar are at the bottom of the road. If you wish to have an eco holiday, and save money, leave the car at home. We can arrange to collect you from the ferry, and can arrange cycle hire and rover bus passes. The bus stops at the end of the road.
Both cottages are as 'green' as possible, with recycling, low energy
lighting and products wherever possible and all eco friendly products
used in cleaning etc.
Both cottages are available from mid May&June at £500 a week, and
July&August at £650 a week.
